On 2nd November 2012, a special event on social work in Palestine will be held at the University of Durham. It marks the launch of the 'Palestine-UK Social Work Network' hosted by the British Association of Social Workers (BASW).
This day long event will feature SWAN National Convenor, Michael Lavalette, who is Associate Professor in Social Work at Liverpool Hope University alongside a group of social work students from his university. Both Michael and the students will be sharing their experiences of the September 2012 Liverpool Hope study trip to Palestine which is taking place as this article is written.
